The vics and percs are really good. Once u try it. U will never enjoy life properly, even if you don't take it again, u will always remember how good u felt that one day, life starts getting harder and harder and u start thinking of the percs more and more, addiction is a slow proccess. It took me 7 years to develop full blown addiction , functional addicts are in fact the worst kind. We use it to enjoy life, it's not as simple as wanting to get high off a pill for me, I used to love to pop a pill and go to work

I take Ambien to sleep and I absolutely believe him he doesn't remember. Benzo's do that to you too but Ambien (Zolpidem) is even more amnesic than benzos in my experience. I have weeks/months of my life I do not remember when I was taking benzos, I only take what I'm prescribed now, no benzo's, just zolpidem to sleep, but I'd like to be off that too in the future. It sucks because I have anxiety and also epilepsy which benzo's would be great for but I've tried to control my use of them in the past and for me, it just wasn't possible, I was mixing it with Oxy's (various opiates really, mainly oxy though) and I almost died. The only way to control it for me, is to not take it in the first place. Once I take just one, it's game over. It's sad but my dad died in 2020 (not drug related) so I'm especially wilful now because I know how much my dad's death affects us all and for them to lose me too would be too much for them. I've been clean from anything ilicit (benzos, coke and opiates) since mid 2023.

My problem was with alcohol. Once I turned on the faucet I couldn't shut it off. I'd drink for 15 hrs straight. Strange thing is I never blacked out. One time I was on a binge and I completely blacked out and I have about 4 hours I did not remember. The fact I had no memory and no control over any of my actions completely freaked me out and I havnt touched alcohol since.

So real, so powerful, so raw and very emotional. I’m in recovery from being on heroin and crack cocaine and I’m on a methadone script now. I overdosed once and my husband saved my life and my sister overdosed on heroin on my kitchen floor, neither of these things stopped me. Addiction IS a disease and it is the hardest thing to go through recovery. You don’t get a day off and you’re forever an addict, you have to work at being sober every single day. What people don’t understand is how it affects your whole family, your friends, your loved ones. Drugs and addiction is the work of the devil, that disease takes you to hell and zaps you of every ounce of your being, destroys your soul. To everybody in recovery or in active addiction I send you love and prayers and just know there is light through the darkness 🙏🏼❤️

Sleep/insomnia caused by trauma is sucha powerful thing. Not sleeping leads to insane/helpless feelings and hopelessness. It's wild how much "sleep" can fuck with you if you aren't good at it.

Took serdeps firstly as a theraptic method ended up taking 5 within 4hours per day remember they prescribed to take 1 a day... Just chased being happy. Ended drinking more alcohol I got involved in the car accident and broke my jaw and lost teeth got surgery.. But I quit all substances I'm 3 months sober and clean. I look healthy got implants. It does get better I'm even finishing my degree in Mechanical engineering.

Hello..I have an addiction to opioid and sleep aid 50mg.. I'm from the UK 🇬🇧 I recently had my first ever close to death experience a few weeks ago.. Too much codiene and ibuprofen... The ibuprofen caused my stomach ulcers to burst... I was taking around 30 ibuprofen every day for 5 years.. After they burst I didn't know I was bleeding out in my stomach.. I woke up felt very very strange...my ears were ringing and it was the loudest noise iv ever heard.. 3 seconds later I was unconscious on the floor... I live alone and don't have any family..only a few friends I eventually came round again...stood up..for a few seconds I was fine...then ringing ears and it happened again..I hit my head on the bed frame..no blood..just a huge lump.. After coming round again 5 hours later.. I woke up in a puddle of sweat and whole body was trembling.. This time I crawled to my room.got dressed as slowly as I could...I rang a friend who came to my place...I was again unconscious by the time he got here...they smashed my door in to get to me..I had to be literally dragged down stairs and into his car.. as I was in the car I came round for a few minutes..as I got to hospital I was unconscious yet again and was rushed straight into resus... After a few tests and iv meds/fluids I was stable again..I'd lost just over 2 litres of blood in my stomach.. the Dr said another day of no help I would have died without question due to huge blood loss... After 3 days I was released and felt OK.. bit light headed but could walk again.. My Dr referred me to a drug rehab...after getting in touch...I get a phone call back saying as its ..and I quote.... only codiene and sleep meds..... I don't fit their criteria...😢 So now I have managed to reduce what I take just to escape the withdrawal effects.. Everytime I ask for some help to straight me out..most people say oh just stop taking it then..😒 Life is such a struggle at the moment and sometimes I wish I didn't wake up 😓 Got nobody to turn too who will accept I need help and just can't do anything at all Iv tried completely stopping slowly but I just can't physically do it ❤ Thank-you
